I nipped in yesterday from the Suffolk Coast Path. I was greeted with a friendly welcome and ordered the £5 meal deal, a toasted bacon sandwich, good coffee, and a pack of Burts crisps. What a bargain! I'd recommend this place for any walkers on this route. A really relaxed, laid-back atmosphere, and I shall definitely stop by again.

First time visitor as the first time we went it was closed. Food was good, staff were excellent over and above what is required. Will definitely go back. Well done everyone concerned. Thank you.

Nice little cafe on/near the HM Prison Service Parole site. Great service and nice cafe food & coffee at reasonable prices. Plenty of parking.

Not run by combat for coffee anymore. Open 7 days a week - 9.30-2.30. Also outside there is a mini farm shop (a few veggies and gifts- wooden chopping board / dog bed etc) . And my favourite - the 2nds/ donations clothes shop ( some corporate donations - fat face often here incl shoes and damaged handbags- but what looks like older charity shop donations too) . Negotiations on price possible - cash and card. And can try on in the cafe loo! Disabled access and loo. ( Free parking for rspb walks- car park open 24 hrs)

You know that over used phrase 'hidden gem'? Well Marsh Barn Cafe defines what the term really means. Great coffee, delicious cake and great service, all in a beautiful remote setting. I wish everyone involved in the project all the best and hope that the gentlemen working here go on to do great things.

Love this place! It's set in lovely countryside (it's next to an RSPB site!), the converted barn is great. I don't know what to gush about first: there's a charity shop attached to the cafe (who doesn't love a bargain?), a little shop selling cushions, bird boxes, hedgehog homes and Faberge-style eggs... at a much more domestic price. The day I was there (mid April), they were selling tomato, cucumber and melon plants for £1, bargain! I don't know who the head gardener is, but the plants looked strong enough to knock a house down. Right, the cafe: we had a couple of hot drinks and a cheese and onion toastie. Also available were baked potatoes, sausage rolls and cake. It was basic fayre, but done well and so cheap! With a packet of crisps, our bill was £6.50! In my vote, that wasn't the best bit. Apart from the outside seating (lots of seats inside) and the blazing sunshine, it was the staff. This is a project to teach skills to those about to leave the open prison nearby. If this makes you hesitate, don't. The staff I encountered in the shop, the charity shop and the cafe were polite, courteous, professional and on the whole hilarious! I had a right giggle with them. I am definitely going back.

Very friendly and excellent value. Even when they are awaiting a delivery there is still plenty to choose from and the people who work there are always so polite and like to have a chat. Proper coffees, hot pastries, really working hard to make the cafe a nice place. Excellent.
